About Us
The Fun Spot Centre CIC is a welcoming community hub serving Inverclyde, especially Port Glasgow and Greenock. We provide a safe, inclusive space for connection, learning, and growth, tackling issues like youth delinquency, poverty, and social isolation. Through mentorship, workshops, and community events, we empower individuals to build stronger, more resilient communities.

At The Fun Spot Centre, our Hair Making Training Program is more than just learning how to braid or weave—it’s about empowering you with a skill that speaks confidence, culture, and creativity. Whether you’re a total beginner or someone looking to sharpen your skills, our hands-on training will guide you through everything from natural hair care to trendy styles, braiding, wig making, and more. We blend modern techniques with local flair to prepare you for real-world opportunities.
Our Mission
Our mission at The Fun Spot Centre CIC is to create an inclusive and welcoming space for the Inverclyde community, where individuals from all backgrounds, especially Black Asian Minority Ethnic can connect, learn, and thrive. We are committed to addressing key social challenges, supporting vulnerable groups, and promoting equality through educational programs, mentorship, and community-building activities. By fostering resilience, collaboration, and inclusion, we aim to reduce social inequality and contribute to the long-term development and well-being of our community.
Our Vision
Our vision is to build an inclusive community in Inverclyde where everyone, regardless of background or circumstance, has the opportunity to connect, grow, and succeed. We aspire to create a positive and lasting impact by empowering individuals, fostering collaboration, and reducing social inequality, ultimately contributing to the long-term social and economic development of the area.
Our Activities
Kids Day
Our Kids Day Trip outing to Glasgow Science Centre on the December 2024 ,was fun filled and packed with activities. The children were so happy and had lots of fun. They enjoyed the day with a tour round the centre and rounded up for the day with a delicious lunch
Hairdressing training program
The Fun Spot Centre CIC launched a hairdressing training program for the ethnic minority community in Inverclyde. The training began on 25th of March 2025 with an informative session about the project. The initiative aims to equip participants with valuable hairdressing skills, boosting their confidence and opening up new career opportunities. The training program is also designed to help foster stronger community bonds. We are grateful to Inverclyde Communities Mental Health Wellbeing Fund for making the project possible.
